I served as Creative Director of Visual Design and co-creator of this pamphlet distributed to the 2023 and 2024 freshman classes at Stanford. The Black Pages is a book of advice and resources from administrators and students were collected for the incoming class.
The mission of The Black Pages is to build on the legacy of those Black students who participated in "Take Back the Mic" in 1968, creating 10 demands for the institution that insisted upon their right to a safe and equitable learning environment. The Black Pages draws on the wisdoms of the existing Black communities at Stanford with the aim of being a source of strength and knowledge for all of its newest members.
